The Chief Executive Officer of Ho Teaching Hospital, Dr. Hintermann K.K.
Mbroh has highlighted the Hospital’s role in advancing MahamaCare and expanding access to
quality and specialised healthcare in the Volta Region at the Volta Regional Coordinating
Council (VRCC) meeting held today.
Dr. Mbroh made the presentation at a meeting attended by Heads of Decentralised Ministries,
Departments, Agencies and Organisations providing stakeholders with an overview of
MahamaCare and its significance to the delivery of accessible and equitable healthcare.
His presentation formed part of a series of sector updates and discussions aimed at strengthening
coordination among institutions and reviewing key developments shaping the Region’s
development.
Opening the meeting, the Volta Regional Minister presented a report on the state of the Region
outlining key developments, emerging challenges and priority areas requiring sustained
collaboration among stakeholders.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) also presented an update on the performance of Junior High
School pupils and Senior High School students with particular attention to educational outcomes
and issues surrounding school placement.
The meeting also received the brief participation of the High Commissioner of the Republic of
Namibia to Ghana, Her Excellency Mrs. Ndiyakupi Nghipandulwa whose presence added an
international dimension to the engagement and highlighted opportunities for stronger
partnerships in support of regional development.
The engagement provided a platform for the leadership of the various institutions to exchange
information, identify shared priorities and strengthen inter-agency collaboration towards
improving social services and accelerating development across the Volta Region.
For Ho Teaching Hospital, the presentation further demonstrates its commitment to working with
regional stakeholders to advance quality, accessible and patient-centred healthcare, while
supporting the broader national agenda for improved health outcomes.
